- Problem solved, Hula now redirects to a disambig page. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 22:54, May 4, 2005 (UTC)
External links section removal
[edit]The link to houla.org, supposedly the village web site, was listed as suspicious by Google (see diagnostic page for houla.org), and other links in External links section were dead, so I removed the section completely. --ElComandanteChe (talk) 22:09, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Proposed move

The result of the proposal was No consensus to move. Cúchullain t/c 13:17, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Hula, Lebanon → Houla, Lebanon – Having observed the several moves back and forth of the Houla massacre article and similarly the several moves of the Hula massacre article, I have come to realize that the problem needs to be resolved at the level of the related locations' article, which are Houla and Hula, Lebanon. Since both of these names are transripted from Arabic script, the rendition in Latin script is undetermined, and based on the pronunciation (I assume), it would be legitimate to render as either Hula or Houla (or Hoola, Hule, Howla, Haula, etc.).
I am therefore proposing simultaneously renaming both location articles to a uniform Latin spelling with the addition of the country they're in for disambiguation. Ideally there should be a centralized discussion for both proposed moves, but I'm unsure how best to implement that, so I'm simply duplicating the proposal on both talk pages for beginners, linking simply to the other discussion. - Support, it makes sense. Aerospace1 (talk) 18:29, 12 August 2012 (UTC) — Aerospace1 (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
- Oppose - there's no need to change to transcription of the name. As long as we consistently spell the Lebanese town Hula and the Syrian one Houla across Wikipedia, there shouldn't be problems in the naming of articles such as Houla massacre and Hula massacre either. - TaalVerbeteraar (talk) 11:18, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
